Russia has invaded Ukraine. Democratic countries all over the world are of course condemning the aggression from the dictator Vladimir Putin. Surprisingly, even Turkey has joined the wall of criticism, and Hungary. And in the midst of all this, disgraced, twice-impeached and suspected illegitimate former president Trump calls in to Fox News and praises his puppet master Putin. Trolls and MAGAs are scrambling to downplay it, or hilariously claiming that Trump is joking. (Trump has no sense of humor, so that argument is just not believable.)
While I watch the events of this war unfold, I can't help but wonder what kind of leverage Putin might hold over Trump to have him remain a loyal puppet even as his puppet master is turning openly evil.
